We recently raised funds to support families living below the poverty line in Sri Lanka. Thanks to your support, our co-founder was able to use these funds to distribute aid directly on the ground during their time there. We teamed up with Greater Giving to supply 50 families with food, clothing, transport to their homes and elderly people with much-needed medication.
Last year, Colournary raised $25,000 which was directly distributed to those in need via Greater Giving. We were able to feed 900 families in the Kalutara, Wellawatta, Gampaha and Monaragala regions and provided each with over a weeks’ worth of dry rations.
$27 AUD can feed an entire family for a week.

Greater Giving is a nonprofit focused on uplifting communities across Sri Lanka by alleviating poverty, achieving social justice, and saving lives.
This is particularly important now due to the economic crisis that commenced in Sri Lanka in 2022, leaving millions of people to suffer from poverty. Though we don’t hear about it in the news, people are struggling in the tiny island nation and need our help.
